We are looking for a Talent Insights & Analytics Subject Matter Expert to lead the data and insights development for a new system launch within EY’s Talent ecosystem. This role involves working closely with project teams to deliver foundational data pipelines, reports, and dashboards that enable timely adoption and sustainable handover to steady‑state teams.

Essential Functions
  • Establish data and insights readiness for the new system at launch.
  • Define and deliver the data & insights scope, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Build foundational data engineering pipelines and core reporting.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for Talent Insights & Analytics input into the program.
  • Enable a clean transition to core Data & Insights teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of core reports and insights, ensuring adherence to quality and timeliness standards.
  • Manage complex, ad‑hoc report analytics requests.
  • Support the implementation of advanced and predictive reporting techniques.
  • Provide integrated, standardized data reports and dashboards.
  • Implement processes to monitor report health, data accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to deliver BAU, compliance, strategic and ad‑hoc analyses.
  • Configure and create new data/reporting solutions to meet operational demands.
  • Utilize SQL, Power BI, and Python to develop and optimize reporting solutions.
  • Partner with data engineers to define transformations, semantic layers and access patterns.
  • Prioritise reporting requests based on business impact and resources.
  • Engage with clients to gather feedback and improve reporting outputs.
Analytical / Decision‑Making Responsibilities
  • Represent TIA across design, build and testing phases.
  • Act as primary analytics SME with product owners, system integrators, data platform team and stakeholders.
  • Identify and surface data risks, dependencies and decision points.
  • Discover and document existing data model and architecture.
  • Validate end‑to‑end data flows and translate architecture into insights‑ready data designs.
  • Define insights and reporting scope aligned to launch, post‑launch and business priorities.
  • Develop phased data & insights roadmap (launch, post‑launch, stabilization).
  • Identify minimum viable reporting and critical metrics for Day‑1 readiness.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data standards, governance and security requirements.
  • Share market insights and review findings with key stakeholders.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
  • Experience in data discovery and analytics enablement during system implementations.
  • Hands‑on skills in SQL, Power BI, Python.
  • Strong understanding of Talent & HR data and a consulting mindset.
  • Ability to influence without authority in global, matrixed teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and expectation management.
  • Business acumen and ability to translate functional and technological requirements into pragmatic solutions.
  • Proactive consulting skills that drive business impact.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Research and analytical skills for trend analysis and future options.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
Supervision Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage resources across Talent Insights & Analytics teams.
  • Set clear expectations, conduct evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Allocate resources to balance workloads and meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with digital and wider talent functions for configuration, development, testing and implementation.
  • Co‑create coaching, mentoring and learning plans for team members.
Other Responsibilities
  • Travel and flexibility to work alternative hours as required by the global nature of the role.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Experiences
  • Delivering functional reporting solutions for business.
  • Supporting reporting capabilities in SAP, Oracle, SuccessFactors or custom solutions.
  • Implementing reporting and analytics solutions and working with third‑party vendors.
  • Collaborating with talent colleagues on reporting and governance.
  • Working in fast‑paced, ambiguous, stressful environments.
