  • Lead billing processes, ensuring deadlines and financial targets are met.
  • Work with the Credit Control team to support timely payment of invoices.
  • Review complex returns with accuracy and rigour, signing off completed work as agreed with senior management.

  • Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth and performance.
  • Oversee the technical, personal, and administrative development of assigned staff, escalating personnel matters as needed.

  • Collaborate flexibly across teams, providing support to colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional who demonstrates:

  • ATT qualification and US tax certification (Enrolled Agent or CPA) — CTA qualification desirable but not essential.
  • At least five years’ experience in professional practice, operating at a similar level.
  • Strong technical knowledge of both US and UK tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality client service in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Experience managing billing, reviewing and signing out returns, and overseeing junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proven people management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
  • Confidence to influence, persuade, and manage challenging client situations with professionalism and tact.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with relevant IT systems and tax software.
