The opportunity
We are looking for exceptional individuals with experience in deal analytics, data visualisation and leveraging data and business acumen to drive real commercial and operational insights for businesses. Companies are collecting more data from a plethora of sources beyond standard financial accounts, including everything from geolocation data to social media posts. We use our business knowledge, coupled with our in-house innovative solutions and advanced digital capabilities, to provide industry leading insight and challenge to our clients. Our team focuses on financial services sectors, including banking, capital markets, wealth and asset management, and insurance.
Your key responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expertise: Functioning as a subject matter expert in advising clients to gain greater insight into their data and the value that data analytics can bring to an organisation.
- Lead Assignments: Actively involve and lead throughout the life-cycle of an analytics assignment. Monitor the performance of project teams and manage project budgets.
- Design Client Solutions: Design and build client solutions by understanding key business drivers, gathering, verifying, and assessing information to formulate views.
- Review Deliverables: Plan, prepare, and review deliverables in various forms, including data workflows and code, visualisation dashboards, written reports and presentations.
- Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to co-develop approaches, agree on value measurements, and provide value through insights, factual conclusions, and advice.
- Risk Management: Manage clients’ expectations regarding deliverables, identify risks on projects, and work with an Engagement Partner to mitigate or resolve risks.
- Relationship Management: Lead relationships with clients and other EY specialist teams, build and develop internal and external networks.
- Sector Focus Development: Develop a sector focus and be actively involved in bringing sector-specific analytics offerings to market.
- Sales Pipeline Development: Take ownership of developing a sales pipeline and lead in developing client relations.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share your technical and other knowledge with your team and department, and support junior team members in developing their skills and technical expertise.
- Team and Practice Management: Take a significant role in the growth of the team and wider practice. Support senior team members on practice management matters, including pipeline review, recruitment, and managing the team’s project portfolio.

To qualify for the role you must have
- Strong commercial experience and/or relevant industry or transaction experience.
- A strong working knowledge of data manipulation and integration analytic tools (e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Excel).
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
- Excitement to learn and share knowledge through the training of others.
- A passion to provide high quality service to your clients.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring team members.
- Extensive experience of Stakeholder and client communication.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in programming languages typically used in analytics, (e.g. Python, SQL, R).
- Experience of leading teams and working in a high paced transaction environment with a solid understanding of how Analytics can bring value throughout the transaction life cycle.
- Be an effective time manager, able to keep calm when under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Be a team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
