The opportunity
Data Analytics is a strategic growth platform for EY, with plans to grow from 150 to over 200 people in the next 2–3 years. EY embeds analytics across services and industries to transform client businesses. We are hiring managers, experienced professionals, and graduates to work in a variety of roles in Data & Analytics teams.
Your key responsibilities
- Helping clients unlock value from their information assets by embedding innovative data analytics solutions in existing services lines
- Leading diverse teams with varying skillsets across Data and Analytics technologies
- Adapting leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs; identifying risks and coaching junior team members
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams to transform and improve client businesses
- Contributing to team growth with energy and the ability to lead and develop others
- Creating innovative insights to add value for clients and society
- Championing operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives
- Driving projects to completion with high quality outcomes
- Supporting the development of the wider Data & Analytics team’s future through brand-building, events, collaboration, and thought leadership
- Establishing and strengthening internal and external relationships; identifying potential business opportunities with guidance from senior leaders
Skills and attributes for success
- Relevant experience in consulting or industry with significant management experience
- Experience supervising and developing others, effective communication, budgeting, and managing client expectations
- Ability to translate technical information for non-technical colleagues and clients
- Proven work experience as a Data Architect
- Experience gathering and analysing system requirements
- Proven cloud data architecture experience (Azure/AWS)
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Ability to design cloud architectures conceptually, logically, and physically
- Analytical mindset and ability to apply new techniques to deliver insights
- Professional in diverse, evolving client environments
- Experience across data analytics lifecycle areas such as Cloud/Data Architecture, Data Pipelines/ETL/ELT, Data Modelling, Data Governance
- Completed degree (bachelors, masters, or PhD) or relevant professional experience
- Data-related cloud certifications in Azure and/or AWS are advantageous
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Experience in consulting or industry with significant management experience
- Experience supervising and developing others, effective communication, budgeting, managing client expectations, delivering quality projects
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
- Proven work experience as a Data Architect
- Experience gathering and analysing system requirements
- Proven cloud data architecture experience (Azure/AWS)
- Deep understanding of both relational and non-relational databases
- Ability to design cloud architectures at conceptual, logical, and physical levels
