A well-established main contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a project or major project section in the Bristol area. You'll protect the commercial position on site, working closely with the delivery team and reporting to a Project Manager or Commercial Manager.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading procurement, subcontract administration and payment/valuation processes
- Managing cost control, CVR reporting and forecasting
- Identifying and managing risks, opportunities and contractual change
- Overseeing final accounts, variations and dispute resolution
- Supporting and developing junior commercial team members
- Liaising directly with clients and PQS to keep projects on track commercially
What we're looking for:
- Strong track record in a Senior QS role within main contracting
- Solid grasp of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes
- Confident managing procurement, subcontracts and final accounts end-to-end
- A proactive, numbers-driven approach with strong stakeholder relationships
