Overview
The primary function of the Gummy Cooking department is to complete the mixing and cooking of the raw materials, to enable them to be poured on our Gummy Pouring line. Supporting the Area Lead, the role of the Gummy Cooking Operator is to ensure that the batches are cooked/mixed correctly and reach the pouring line on time. Reporting to the Gummy Area SPO, the Gummy Cooking Operator plays a key role to ensure high quality products are always made to meet the requirements of the customers. The Gummy Cooking Operator helps to ensure Food, Pharmaceutical and Hygiene standards are part of everyday working.
Responsibilities
- Produce batches for the Gummy Pouring line to a high standard following the Manufacturing Instruction Record (documentation) and ensuring no deviations.
- Maintain multiple batches in the various vessels at the same time, to ensure efficient use of the vessels.
- Complete MIRs and other relevant documents right first time.
- Ensure that hygiene standards are met to GMP requirements and meet the demands of the customer.
- Ensure company H&S standards are followed at all times (PPE & Dress regulations to be adhered to).
- General knowledge of Manufacturing systems OR fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- Ability to communicate at a good level of English, to be able to interact with other areas in the Gummy department, H&S, Quality or R&D/Project teams when they are in the area.

- Good level English.
- Good level Maths.
Responsibility
- Use knowledge to complete basic preventative measures to ensure health and safety of everyone in the area or the quality of the product.
- Assist with the training of new starters in the area.
Physical Requirements
- Manual Handling for lifting bags of raw materials or buckets of dispensings weighing up to 25kg.
Working Conditions
- Hot, wet and loud area of work (Non-slip shoes and ear defenders provided/mandatory).
- Full PPE required, which includes the wearing of: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, White Lab Coat/Overall, Hair Net (Beard Snood), and ear protection (All PPE will be provided).
