Due to continued expansion, the Selby depot is looking to strengthen its workshop team with a skilled HGV Technician, offering long-term career development and competitive pay based on experience.
In this role, the successful HGV Workshop Technician will carry out day-to-day vehicle and trailer repairs, inspections, and maintenance, working closely with drivers, traffic, and administration teams to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified LGV/HGV Technician with strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to contribute positively to a small, close-knit workshop team.
The Role:
- Carrying out HGV and trailer repairs, servicing, and inspections in the workshop and at other sites.
- Completing maintenance in line with manufacturer and company standards while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Liaising with drivers, traffic, and admin teams to resolve defects and improve workshop operations.
The Person:
- Fully qualified HGV/LGV Technician (minimum Level 3) with industry experience.
- Knowledge of diagnostics, electrical systems, fleet management systems, and DVS compliance.
- Flexible, team-focused, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
