In this role, the successful Trainee Fabricator Welder will work in a busy vehicle workshop, carrying out fabrication, welding, and repair work on vehicle bodies, frames, and metal components. You will use MIG welding (with TIG training provided), work from drawings and specifications, and develop your skills to progress into a fully qualified Vehicle Fabricator Welder.

The Role:

  • Fabrication and welding of vehicle components, chassis, and frames
  • MIG and TIG welding on steel and other metals
  • Repairing, modifying, and reinforcing vehicle structures

The Person:

  • Experienced Welder / Fabricator with vehicle-based experience
  • Background in automotive, HGV, fleet, plant, or commercial vehicles
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Welding qualifications (Level 3)
