Are you a qualified Small Vessel Chief Engineer (<3000kW, <500GT) with Small Vessel CoC?

Do you want to work in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK and live onshore in a stable role offering an excellent salary package?

This company works in the marine sector and oversee a range of activities including commercial shipping and leisure boating. They have been working with the local community of over 150 years and play an important role in overseeing maritime activities in West Cornwall.

In this role you will be focused primarily on operating and maintaining the company fleet, but there will be opportunities for outside commercial work at times. You will work closely with the TUG skipper and a team of engineers, working on a 2 week/ 3 week roster, with some away work across the south coast.

The Role:

  • Maintaining and operating a tug boat. Primarily shore based but with a 2 week on/3 week off roster
  • Small trips to surrounding areas
  • Complete repairs of machine breakdowns/faults
  • Complete and schedule maintenance
  • Testing, calibration and at-sea maintenance of equipment and systems
