Are you a Service Engineer, with a mechanical or electrical background looking for a long-term, stable role installing automated gates within a local patch, with structured training?
On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established automated gate specialist with a strong reputation across domestic and commercial sites. You will be part of a close-knit installation team, working within an hour of the Royston base, installing complete gate systems from the ground up.
Due to continued growth and internal progression, this company is looking to bring in an Installation Engineer to strengthen their existing team and step into a key hands-on role.
This role would suit an Installation Engineer with automated gate installation experience or similar, happy working as part of a 2-man team, who enjoys varied site work and wants consistency, support, and a healthy work-life balance.
The Role:
- Installing automated gate systems on domestic and commercial sites
- Part of a 2-man team (Installation Engineer + Groundworker)
- Installing gates, posts, rams, hinges, safety edges, magnetic loops, intercoms, and access control
- Setting out gate geometry, alignment, and automation components
- Local patch - typically within a 40-mile / 1-hour radius of Royston
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
The Person:
- Service Engineer with a mechanical or electrical background
- Comfortable with hydraulics, mechanical installation, and basic electrics
- Happy working outdoors and on varied sites
