Are you an Import Clerk or similar with Sea Freight experience looking for a varied role where you will be the go-to person for dealing with import of goods for a well-established SME who are moving from strength-to-strength and undergoing a period of exciting growth, offering a platform to continually progress your career?
This well-established SME provide specialist stainless steel products for a broad client base across a range of key industries. They have seen steady growth to the point they have 29 staff and £26m turnover and due to an ever increasing workload are looking to grow their friendly team.
This varied role will see you undertake project work for imports of goods via sea, primarily from Eastern Asia. You will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and forwarders to ensure on time delivery whilst looking at opportunities for continual improvement. You will learn from the General Manager, as well as liaising with Stock Control, and other members of the tight-knit office team as you work Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30.
This exciting role would suit an Import Clerk or similar looking to upskill themselves within a well-established SME who offer a varied workload and the chance to continually progress your career.
The Role:
- End-to-end project work for imports - 95% sea freight, with occasional road freight
- Liaise with suppliers and forwarders to arrange imports of containers (roughly 30 per month)
- Work closely with General Manager, stock control team and other departments
- Monday-Friday office based 08:30-17:00
