Are you a hands-on Engineer, Fitter, or Mechanical Installer looking to develop a long-term career within a specialist engineering business, with full training provided to become a qualified LEV Engineer? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing provider of industrial dust extraction and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, where you will be trained and supported to progress into a fully qualified Installation & Service Engineer, including full support toward achieving the P601 qualification.
This respected engineering business designs, manufactures, installs, and tests LEV systems for the woodworking and wider manufacturing sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an Assistant Installation & Service Engineer to support senior engineers on-site, gain hands-on experience, and develop technical expertise in safety-critical systems.
You will work alongside experienced Lead Fitters and Engineers, assisting with the installation, servicing, and testing of LEV systems across the UK. This role offers structured training, varied site work, and a clear pathway into a senior engineering position within a stable and supportive company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of LEV systems including ductwork, hoods, fans, and filters
- Support senior engineers during on-site installations and commissioning works
- Assist with LEV testing, inspections, and examinations (training provided)
- Help with fault-finding, servicing, and remedial works
- Support fabrication and manufacturing activities at the Brill facility when required
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with COSHH and HSE guidance
- Complete job paperwork and site documentation accurately
The Person:
- Practical engineering, mechanical fitting, or installation experience
- Keen to develop a career in LEV and industrial ventilation systems
- Willingness to learn and work towards P601 qualification (full training provided)
