Are you a Mechanical Field Service Engineer with turbine experience, wanting a secure onshore wind role that offers strong overtime potential and a company vehicle for work and travel? This UK-based renewable energy specialist provides nationwide operation, maintenance, and technical support for onshore wind turbines in the 200kW to 850kW range. Operating across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, the company delivers high-quality O&M, performance optimisation, technical upgrades, and asset support to maximise turbine availability and long-term value.
In this role, you will carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on onshore wind turbines across the North West of England and North Wales. You will be responsible for servicing, inspection, and fault-finding of turbine mechanical systems, component replacement, report completion, and working safely at height while travelling regularly to remote sites. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with significant overtime available to increase earnings.
This role would suit a mechanically biased engineer with proven wind turbine experience who is looking for a varied, field-based position within a growing renewable energy business.
The Role:- Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on onshore wind turbines
- Servicing, inspection and mechanical fault finding on turbine systems
- Repair and replacement of mechanical components in line with OEM standards
- Supporting hydraulic and electrical works where required
- Regular travel across South West England and South Wales, with wider UK travel as required
- Monday-Friday 8:30-5 + overtime
- Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, apprenticeship, HNC/HND)
- Proven experience working on wind turbines
- Comfortable working at height and in varying weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel across the North West and North Wales region
