Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with a background in AutoCAD or similar, looking to join a specialist engineering business delivering bespoke solutions for industrial environments? You will be joining an established electrical engineering company that specialises in the custom design and manufacture of control panels, tailored to meet specific operational and machinery requirements across a wide range of industries.
Projects are varied and involve designing panels that integrate seamlessly with existing customer systems. You will design control panels and electrical systems from concept to manufacture, creating schematics and layouts in CAD and EPLAN, and integrating components such as PLCs, HMIs, inverters, relays, and circuit breakers. Your designs will ensure reliable control and monitoring, meet all relevant electrical standards, and be delivered accurately in collaboration with production and project teams.
This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer with a background in AutoCAD or similar, looking to work on technically varied, bespoke projects within a supportive engineering environment.
The Role- Design bespoke electrical control panels tailored to customer processes and machinery
- Produce detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using CAD and EPLAN
- Select and integrate control components including PLCs, HMIs, inverters, relays, and circuit protection
- Create bills of materials and supporting technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical standards and regulations, including CE marking
- Support testing, fault-finding, and commissioning activities
- Liaise closely with Production, Project, and Engineering teams
