In this role, the successful Building Regulations Principal Designer or similar will be responsible for:
- Supporting both clients and interdepartmental teams to meet compliance requirements under UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
- Reviewing designs for compliance, acting as a trusted advisor during the pre-construction and design processes.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on statutory regulations as well as health and safety standards.
- Being a primary point of contact for both clients and colleagues.
- Representing the company in regard to meetings and external engagements.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A background within the Construction/Surveying/Architecture/Civil/Structural Engineering sector, or a related field.
- A strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
- A professional membership with a relevant body (RICS, CIAT, CABE etc).
- A full, valid UK driver's license as well as access to your own vehicle.
