Are you a design manager from an architectural background or similar? Do you want to lead the design and delivery of innovative sports surface and infrastructure solutions on projects in the UK and internationally?
On offer is the opportunity to join a highly respected, forward-thinking design team delivering world-class sports surface and field-of-play infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.
In this role you'll lead the design of high-profile sports surfaces and field-of-play infrastructure projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure all designs are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. You will act as the main technical point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, while mentoring design staff and driving innovation.
The Role:
- Lead and coordinate the design of major sports surface and infrastructure projects across RIBA Stages 0-7, maintaining clear design intent and alignment with technical standards and client requirements.
- Review, approve, and manage the delivery of design documentation, drawings, and specifications, ensuring appropriate LoD/LoI, technical accuracy, and quality.
- Act as the primary design interface with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal disciplines, including turf, irrigation, drainage, and lighting.
- Manage design programmes in line with MIDPs and TIDPs, support project managers, mentor design staff, and provide technical input during tendering and construction.
The Person:
- Degree-qualified in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Sports Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with professional accreditation desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and BIM workflows.
- Commutable to Bingley.
