Are you a Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer from a manufacturing background looking to join a well-established engineering business that designs and manufactures bespoke, highly specialised machinery for the global printing and converting industries? You will play a critical role in supporting the supply chain for custom-built, engineered-to-order machines, working closely with suppliers to drive quality, delivery and continuous improvement.
With over 100 years of heritage, this company has built an outstanding reputation for producing precision-engineered converting and printing machinery, supplied to customers worldwide. They are continuing to invest in people and processes and are now looking to strengthen their Supply Chain team in Taunton.
The Role:
- Conduct supplier audits and on-site assessments
- Validate and onboard new suppliers supporting bespoke machine builds
- Manage and close supplier non-conformances
- Drive continuous improvement across supplier quality and delivery
- Process purchase orders via the ERP system
- Identify and develop new suppliers for specialised components
- Expedite deliveries to support engineered-to-order manufacturing
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics providers to achieve best value
The Person:
- Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Engineer from a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting bespoke or low-volume, high-complexity machinery
- HNC or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline
- Full UK driving licence
