Our client is a well-established engineering firm that designs and builds specialist equipment for the global converting and print sector. You will join a skilled electrical team assembling and wiring custom-built machinery from detailed technical drawings.
This is a practical, workshop-based position involving panel and on-machine wiring. You will be responsible for installing and wiring components including PLC hardware (no programming involved), motors, relays, HMIs, drives, and sensors. You will also handle on-machine installation using trunking, tray work, and junction boxes.
This role would suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys building from the ground up and working as part of a close-knit production team.
THE ROLE- Wiring control panels and on-machine systems from electrical schematics
- Installing motors, drives, PLCs (hardware only), HMIs, relays, and sensors
- On-machine wiring: trunking, cable trays, junction boxes
- Workshop-based role within an experienced and collaborative team
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 13:30 (37.5 hour contract)
- 1.3 x Overtime rate
- Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a background in control panels, machinery wiring, and fault finding, or similar
- Confident reading electrical drawings and wiring independently
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualified
