Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a technically driven engineering business where you can work on complex, real-world products and take projects from concept through to production? This company is a global engineering manufacturer based in North Wales, specialising in the design, development, and manufacture of market-leading geophysical technologies. Their products are used worldwide and trusted for their accuracy and reliability in challenging, high-pressure environments.
On offer is the opportunity to join a small, multi-disciplinary engineering team where you will work on a wide range of mechanical design projects, including wireline winches, surface equipment, and borehole logging probes. In this role, you will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle.
This role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working closely with electronics and manufacturing teams, and looking to progress their career in a multi-national business.
The Role:
- Design and develop mechanical solutions that integrate with electronic systems
- Assemble and test prototype designs, including hands-on modification
- Perform engineering calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Produce detailed engineering drawings and assemblies, including GD&T
- Create technical documentation and manufacturing data packs in line with CE, UKCA, and ISO 9001 standards
- Provide ongoing engineering support for existing products via corrective action processes
The Person:
- Experience in a mechanical engineering or design role
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in SolidWorks CAD
- Full UK driving licence
