Are you a CNC Machinist looking to come off the tools and move into an office-based role, where you will be given full internal training on buying/estimating within a long-standing, reputable company?
On offer is a great opportunity to move off the shop floor and go behind a desk, where you can utilise your machining knowledge in a different way. In this role you will be working in a small team of 3 Buyers to source a range of materials and tooling for a renowned machining company. You will be handling incoming enquiries and quoting jobs for clients across the UK, with full initial training given.
This machining company provides parts to the oil & gas, offshore, power and marine industries, boasting a loyal client base and plenty of future stability. This role would suit a machinist looking to come off the tools and transition into a less physical, office-based role with plenty of training to become a Buyer/Estimator.
The Role:
- Sourcing materials and tooling across the UK
- Handling incoming enquiries and quoting jobs
- Buying plates, bars, pipes, and various materials for small-batch machining
- Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday finish at 1pm, 37 hours a week
