On offer is an excellent opportunity to join Ulster Engineering Ltd t/a Ulster Shredders during a period of continued expansion. You will play a key role within both the manufacturing and after-sales teams, working on the build, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial shredding machinery. The role offers structured training, a fully equipped company van, overtime, and strong long-term career prospects.
In this role, you will split your time between mechanical assembly at the Castledawson facility and field service work at customer sites across the UK, Ireland, and overseas. You will be responsible for assembling machinery to specification, supporting testing prior to dispatch, carrying out installations and commissioning, and diagnosing mechanical faults in the field.
The ideal candidate is a mechanically skilled, reliable, and customer-focused engineer, confident working both independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to travel and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
The Role:- Mechanical assembly and fitting of industrial shredding machinery
- On-site installation, commissioning, servicing, and operator training
- Fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and completion of service documentation
- Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical assembly or field service engineering
- Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to read engineering drawings
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK & international)
