Are you an electrical engineer with experience in the printing or converting industry, looking to step into a commissioning role where you'll benefit from training, progression, bonuses and a growing company that serves all over the world? You will be commissioning, installing, troubleshooting and servicing a wide range of converting machinery internationally. You will also be required to train customers on machines and work with associated machinery such as PLC control systems and HMIs.
This company has over 100 years' experience since it was established in the early 1900s and has built a fantastic reputation within the industry, both in the UK and Internationally. They supply specialised equipment to the converting and printing industries alongside offering customer breakdown services and repairs. This is the ideal role for a time-served Electrical Engineer who's ready to take their career global enjoying autonomy, technical variety, and exceptional earning potential in a forward-thinking, supportive business.
The Role:
- Commission, install, and service a range of converting machinery at customer sites worldwide
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and hands-on fixes across electrical and control systems
- Work with motors, drives, PLCs (Siemens and Allen Bradley), and HMIs
- Deliver training to customers on the safe and efficient use of machinery
- Perform diagnostics and apply debugging techniques to resolve issues
- 50% based on site (Taunton) and 50% travel nationally/international
- Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30, Friday, 08:00 - 13:00
- Overtime rate of 1.5x on Fridays and 1.3x on all other days
The Person:
- Fully time-served Electrical Engineer
- Valid UK passport and full driving licence
- Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Strong experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs
