The Role

  • Wiring control panels and special purpose machines to detailed electrical drawings
  • Installing and connecting PLCs, motors, drives, relays, transformers, HMIs, and sensors
  • Carrying out on-machine wiring, including trunking, cable trays, junction boxes, and cable management systems
  • Conducting fault finding, testing, and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and wiring standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team to resolve issues

The Person

  • A fully time-served electrical apprenticeship
  • Experience in control panel and on-machine wiring
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Proven fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently
