Are you an Electrical Field Service Engineer with wind turbine experience, looking for a hands-on, technically engaging role within the onshore wind sector offering regular overtime? This UK-based renewable energy specialist provides nationwide operation, maintenance, and technical support for onshore wind turbines in the 200kW to 850kW range. Operating across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, the company delivers high-quality O&M, performance optimisation, technical upgrades, and asset support to maximise turbine availability and long-term value.
In this role, you will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on onshore wind turbines across Aberdeen and the wider North of Scotland. You will be responsible for:
- Planned and reactive electrical maintenance on onshore wind turbines
- Servicing, inspection, and electrical fault finding on turbine systems
- Repair and replacement of electrical components, including sensors, control systems, and switchgear
- Regular travel across Aberdeen and the North of Scotland, with occasional wider UK travel
- Supporting mechanical and hydraulic works where required
The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with significant overtime available to increase earnings. This role would suit an electrically biased engineer with proven wind turbine experience who is looking for a varied, field-based position within a growing renewable energy business.
The Person:
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ, apprenticeship, HNC/HND)
- Proven experience working in commercial engineering
- Comfortable working at height and in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel across the Aberdeen and North Scotland region
