Are you a CAD engineer with experience using SolidWorks, looking to join an industry leading automation and robotics company who will progress your career and reinvest in developing your skillset? On offer is the opportunity to become a vital asset to the design team of an exciting robotics company in the automotive manufacturing industry. This company works with multiple tier 1 automotive OEMs such as JLR Group and Nissan. They provide specialist designs for the automation and robotics equipment within the injection moulding industry for automotives.
You will be designing mechanical components and robotics systems, working with multiple engineers in a cross function team setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new and intricate aspects of a highly technical industry. This role would suit a CAD designer, looking to join a well-established robotics and automation company who will provide inhouse training and continuous support while you progress your career.
The Role
- Design mechanical components for robotics and automation equipment
- Produce detailed technical drawings and assist the assembly team to meet project deadlines
- Assist the R&D team with new concepts
- Visit client sites when needed to understand their needs and accurate specifications for each project
- Undergo external and inhouse training on robotic systems and automation
- Office based (Mon-Fri)
The Person
- Experience in a CAD design role using SolidWorks
- Full UK driving licence
