In this role the successful UPVC Fabricator or similar will be responsible for creating and ensuring the execution of daily, weekly and monthly production schedules for employees within the fabrication team. You will also be responsible for the oversight of the Production and Fabrication process, making sure products are made within budget and delivered on time, ensuring they uphold the highest standard. This is a hands-on role, you will be expected to help with fabrication as and when needed. In addition, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to make production more cost/time effective where possible as well as the day-to-day management of the Fabrication team and general staff issues like holidays, absences etc. On top of this, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, coordinating with the Stock Manager as and when needed. Finally, you will be responsible for machine checks and maintenance as and when needed, as well as keeping accurate technical documentation.
The ideal UPVC Fabricator or similar will have a background within the Manufacturing Industry as well as previous experience within a fabrication role, along with a desire to progress into a managerial position. You will have previous experience in a management position, with strong leadership skills. In addition to this, you will be happy to work both as part of a team but also autonomously. Finally, you will be highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and multi-tasking abilities.
