The Role

  • Lead and develop the Engineering Department, setting technical standards and direction
  • Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to improve safety, cost and performance
  • Oversee the design, development and continuous improvement of bespoke machinery
  • Ensure all designs meet CE, UL and UKCA compliance requirements
  • Supervise the creation of technical documentation, risk assessments and design FMEA
  • Manage and support customer-facing engineering activities including service, spares, installation and commissioning
  • Motivate and manage engineering teams through effective leadership and communication
  • Play a key role in long-term engineering strategy and succession planning

The Person

  • Senior Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering background
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience within an OEM design and manufacturing environment
  • Experience delivering complex capital equipment projects, ideally to international customers
