The Role
- Lead and develop the Engineering Department, setting technical standards and direction
- Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to improve safety, cost and performance
- Oversee the design, development and continuous improvement of bespoke machinery
- Ensure all designs meet CE, UL and UKCA compliance requirements
- Supervise the creation of technical documentation, risk assessments and design FMEA
- Manage and support customer-facing engineering activities including service, spares, installation and commissioning
- Motivate and manage engineering teams through effective leadership and communication
- Play a key role in long-term engineering strategy and succession planning
The Person
- Senior Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering background
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience within an OEM design and manufacturing environment
- Experience delivering complex capital equipment projects, ideally to international customers
