Are you an experienced Stock Controller or Warehouse professional with a background in inventory management and team leadership, looking for a role where you can take full ownership of stock accuracy and processes within a growing warehouse and distribution operation? This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding healthcare solutions provider in a newly created position, where you will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, improving warehouse processes, and supporting business-wide operations.
This market-leading healthcare solutions provider supports care homes and hospitals across the UK, supplying and maintaining essential equipment. As the business continues to grow, they are now looking to appoint a Stock Controller to take responsibility for stock control within their Warehouse & Distribution department, ensuring accuracy, organisation, and efficiency across all stock locations.
You will take full accountability for the stock control function, leading a small team and working closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams. This includes overseeing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing returns, damages and special items, and maintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised warehouse environment.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by improving processes, introducing efficiencies, and developing clear stock control standards within a supportive and hands-on management structure.
Responsibilities:- Take full ownership of stock control, accuracy, and reporting
- Lead and support stock control operatives and warehouse staff
- Plan and carry out cycle counts and stock audits
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Manage returns, damages, slow-moving and special stock
- Maintain FIFO, storage standards, and warehouse housekeeping
- Support Health & Safety checks and compliance
- Provide regular stock reports and operational insight to management
- Proven experience in stock control or warehouse operations
- Previous experience leading or supervising staff
