We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver to join our busy Groundcare team at our Head Office in Ulting, Maldon.
Role Purpose:
This varied role combines warehouse operations with the collection and delivery of groundcare machinery. You will help manage warehouse stock, prepare and dispatch orders, load and unload groundcare & construction deliveries, and deliver machinery to customers. You will also assemble equipment where required and provide customers with a professional handover.
Responsibilities:
- Manage stock and inventory within the groundcare warehouse.
- Receive, load, unload and process deliveries.
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer, branch and online orders.
- Transfer machinery and equipment to the showroom as required.
- Collect and deliver machinery.
- Assemble and prepare machinery in line with manufacturer guidelines and demonstrate its safe operation where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and roadworthy company vehicle.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Skills and Experience:
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous warehouse, stores or parts experience.
- Knowledge of groundcare, agricultural or horticultural machinery (advantageous).
- Mechanical or engineering experience. (advantageous)
- Counterbalance forklift and/or telehandler licence. (desirable).
- Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT, numeracy and literacy skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, proactive and flexible.
- Good level of physical fitness.

Additional Information
- Start Date: Immediate, but subject to candidates notice period
- Hours: 39 hrs per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm (1-hour unpaid lunch) Saturday as per rota. Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday
- £Competitive, depending on experience
