We are currently looking for an experienced Vegetable Service Technician to join the established team at our Sutterton branch, based in Lincolnshire. Role Purpose
To repair and maintain all equipment associated with specialist vegetable machinery (but not limited to) that is sold by the company’s sales departments.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within the agricultural industry would be advantageous
- Ability to diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable or warrantable
- Service, maintain and diagnose faults on in‑field agricultural machinery and crop production equipment, including products from manufacturers such as Ecorobotix, Tumoba, Verhoest and Samon, among others
- Installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing in‑field equipment, including fabrication and repairs where required
- Complete job cards in full relating to work undertaken, including machine details, time, mileage and any accompanying documentation
- Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers as required
- Ability to work independently using own initiative, as well as part of a team
- Ability to adhere to health and safety practices and procedures at all times
- Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
- Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to work
- Good general appearance
- Competent in the use of computers and digital service tools
- Excellent customer service skills, as this is a customer‑facing role
- Full valid driving licence with no more than 3 points
Additional Information
- Start date: Immediate, but subject to successful candidate’s notice period
- Hours: 39 hours per week – 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Thursday; 8 am to 4 pm Friday (1 hr unpaid lunch). Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday.
- Salary: competitive, depending on experience plus company van and company mobile phone
