We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Service Technician to join our well‑established team at our Fyfield branch in Essex . In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of agricultural and horticultural equipment sold by our sales departments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on a range of agricultural and horticultural machinery
- Performing maintenance, warranty, and chargeable service work
- Using the latest diagnostic software and tools to support your technical work
- Liaising with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Working independently and as part of a team to deliver a high standard of service
- Following health & safety procedures and maintaining workshop standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in the agricultural or horticultural machinery industry (preferred)
- Strong fault‑finding and repair skills
- Physically capable of handling machinery (with tools or assistance where required)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Full UK driving licence required
- Good general fitness and a professional appearance
Additional Info
- Start Date: Immediate, but subject to notice period
- Hours:8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1hr unpaid lunch)
- Overtime: paid at time and a half following the completion of contracted hours
- Contract: Permanent, full‑time, 39 hours per week
- Salary: Competitive, depending upon experience, hourly paid, plus company vehicle and mobile phone for business use
- Bonus: Annual profit related bonus
