Join to apply for the PARTS VAN SALESPERSON role at Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for the PARTS VAN SALESPERSON role at Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd Role Purpose Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will act as a sales representative for parts sold across a varied product range which runs from agricultural and ground care machinery parts through to general hardware goods. Your role involves selling to the already established customer base covered by the Fulbourn branch, with an element of ‘new business development and prospecting’ to promote Ernest Doe and encourage new customers and sales. You will use a company vehicle to deliver to various locations, take orders from customers, promote special offers, and handle general parts deliveries. Key Responsibilities Achieve sales targets and strive for success. Maintain excellent communication skills face to face and over the phone. Be organized and able to multitask efficiently. Communicate effectively with all levels of the business, including manufacturers, suppliers, and customers. Handle numbers accurately and process cash and card payments. Possess or develop technical knowledge of machines and their uses (advantageous but not essential). Manage customer expectations and handle interactions diplomatically, especially during busy periods. Provide quotations and estimates to customers. Essential Skills and Experience Driven by sales targets and success. Excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the phone. Organized with the ability to multitask. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and external partners. Accurate handling of financial transactions. Full, clean driving license. Attention to detail. Additional Information Start date: Immediate, subject to notice period. Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5.30 pm, with Saturday rota. Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, plus commission and company vehicle.
