We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join the existing team at our Fakenham branch, based in Norfolk. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Agricultural machinery that is sold by the company’s sales department. Working with Ernest Doe will give you direct access to the manufacturers for support and training, as well as the benefit of working with our own experienced team members.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Ability to repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Agricultural and equipment
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs.
  • Lifting heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools
  • Proven experience within the Agricultural industry
  • Able to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Self‑motivated
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Good general appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer‑facing role
  • Full clean driver’s licence

Additional Information

  • Start Date: Immediate, but subject to replacement of existing role if successful
  • Hours: 39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Friday (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
  • Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday. Sundays or Bank Holidays will be paid at double time
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience plus company vehicle and mobile phone
