The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
Reporting directly to the General Service Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Construction service department. You will also be responsible for the organisation and management of the existing service staff, customer relations and departmental profitability, whilst maintaining effective and accurate communication between management, customers and technicians.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Strong knowledge of the construction engineering sector; key knowledge of Merlo, Hyundai, Bomag, Thwaites or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Previous management or supervisor experience is desirable as this is a busy service department.
- Directing, mentoring and overseeing the work of the technicians at the Branch.
- Familiarity with profit/loss, KPI targets and manufacturer warranty systems is key.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal diplomatically with customers during busy periods both verbally and in writing.
- Be organised and have the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Can deal with staff related matters confidently and in line with Company procedures.
- Proactive and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the business.
- Act with discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential nature.
- Ability to manage customer expectations without overcommitting.
- Able to work autonomously and possess the ability to use initiative.
- Maintain a good general level of health and fitness.
- Good general appearance as customer facing role.
Additional Information
- Start Date: Immediate, but subject to candidates notice period.
- Hours: 42 hrs. per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch). Additional hours may be required to include alternate Saturdays and peak times e.g. harvest.
- Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) plus company vehicle and profit-related bonus.
