Join to apply for the Delivery Driver / Yard Assistant role at Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd. We are currently looking for a part-time Delivery Driver / Yard Assistant to join and support the existing team at our Framlingham branch, based in Suffolk.

Role Purpose
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and collection of groundcare machinery that has been sold or serviced by the branch. This role will also have the responsibility of moving machinery either for storage or repair supporting our sales and service departments, whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service at all times.

This position will also include the responsibility of maintenance within the branch as and when its needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver parts and machinery as required to a range of customers
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe vehicle
  • Liaise with customers as well as internal departments
  • Positively promote the Company image and its products
  • Comply with company policies
  • Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis, both face to face and over the phone

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Full driving licence is required
  • A team player – capable of working alone or with other team staff
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Telehandler licence (desirable)
  • Experience with plant, groundcare and agricultural machinery would be advantages.

Additional Information

  • Start Date: Immediate, but subject to replacement of existing role if successful
  • Hours: 24 hours per week: between Monday to Friday (with an unpaid lunch break) Overtime paid at basic rate
  • Salary:
  • ompetitive, depending on experience
