We’re looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our friendly, professional team at our Colchester branch in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well‑established company trading and operating from 19 locations, covering Essex, Herts, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridge, Lincolnshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
What You’ll Do
- Repairing and maintaining machinery sold through our sales departments within your designated area
- Diagnosing faults using the latest software and carrying out warranty, chargeable, or internal repairs
- Providing first‑class service to customers who depend on agricultural or horticultural machinery
- Safely handling heavy machinery, using appropriate lifting tools when required
- Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in the agricultural industry (advantageous)
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A practical, problem‑solving approach to work
- Good general fitness and a professional appearance
- A strong commitment to health & safety procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A full, clean UK driving licence
Additional Information
- Start Date: Immediate, but subject to candidate notice period
- Hours: 39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday; 8am to 4pm Friday (1‑hr unpaid lunch). Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience (hourly paid) plus company van and mobile phone
