We are looking for a Part-time motivated Horticultural Service Technician with strong mechanical skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude at our Littleport Branch in Cambridgeshire.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of horticultural machinery supplied by our sales departments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing and maintaining horticultural equipment for customers
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out service and repair work efficiently
  • Diagnosing hydraulic and electrical faults using modern diagnostic software
  • Servicing domestic and professional grass machinery
  • Working on a range of utility, garden, and small agricultural machinery
  • Ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety at all times
  • Providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
  • Working independently and as part of the wider service team

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of domestic or professional grass machinery is advantageous
  • Experience repairing and maintaining horticultural or groundcare equipment
  • Good understanding of utility, garden, or small agricultural machinery
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting equipment where required
  • Ability to work independently using your own initiative as well as within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Excellent customer service skills both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work

Additional Information:

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Location: Littleport, Cambridgeshire, CB6 1SE
  • Hours: 16 hours per week across 2 days, 8am to 5pm Tuesday and Wednesday (1-hour unpaid lunch) – Flexibility may be offered in working days.
  • Contract: Permanent, part-time, hourly paid
  • Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience
