Overview
Do you have a knack for fixing machinery and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? We’re looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our friendly, professional team at our Fyfield branch in Essex.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company trading and operating from 20 locations, covering Essex, Herts, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridge, Lincolnshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Over the last 18 months, have won the New Holland Service Excellence (Net Promoter Score) Award (Agriculture), New Holland Telehandler Dealer of the Year (Agriculture), Dalbo European Dealer of the Year (Agriculture) and Hyundai Dealer of the Year (Construction).
Responsibilities
- Repairing and maintaining machinery sold through our sales departments within your designated area
- Diagnosing faults using the latest software and carrying out warranty, chargeable, or internal repairs
- Providing first-class service to customers who depend on agricultural or horticultural machinery
- Safely handling heavy machinery, using appropriate lifting tools when required
- Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the agricultural industry (advantageous)
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A practical, problem-solving approach to work
- Good general fitness and a professional appearance
- A strong commitment to health & safety procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A full, clean UK driving licence
Job Details
- Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
- Job Location: Fyfield
- Start Date: Immediate, but subject to candidate notice period
- Hours: 39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday; 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hr unpaid lunch); Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours
- Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience (hourly paid) plus company van and mobile phone
- Benefits: 32 days holiday (inc bank holidays), workplace pension, life assurance (2 x salary), country store staff discount, company sick pay scheme, flu jabs and employee referral scheme
