The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Reporting directly to the branch manager, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Service department, covering agricultural and some horticultural machinery. You will also be responsible for the organisation and management of the existing service staff, customer relations and departmental profitability, whilst maintaining effective and accurate communication between management, customers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing, mentoring and overseeing the work of the technicians at the Branch.
- Familiarity with profit/loss, KPI targets and manufacturer warranty systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal diplomatically with customers during busy periods both verbally and in writing.
- Be organised and have the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Deal with staff related matters confidently and in line with Company procedures.
- Proactive and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the business.
- Act with discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential nature.
- Manage customer expectations without overcommitting.
- Able to work alone and on your own initiative.
Good general appearance as this is a customer-facing role.
Additional Information:
- Start Date: Immediate, subject to successful candidate’s notice period.
- Hours: 42 hrs. per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch). Additional hours may be required to include alternate Saturdays and peak times.
- Competitive salary – dependent on experience plus company vehicle and profit-related bonus.
