We are looking for a skilled and motivated Horticultural Service Technician to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for machinery and problem-solving to work within a busy and supportive environment.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of horticultural machinery and associated equipment supplied by the company's sales departments. You will play an important role in ensuring our customers receive a high standard of technical support and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain horticultural machinery and equipment
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance work to manufacturer standards
- Identify hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic software
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and safely
- Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
- Work independently as well as part of the wider service team
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
About You
- Knowledge of domestic or professional grass machinery is advantageous
- Good understanding of utility, garden, or small agricultural machinery
- Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Competent in the use of computers and diagnostic systems
- Physically capable of carrying out manual handling tasks safely and responsibly

Additional Information
- Start Date: Subject to candidate's notice period
- Hours: 39 hours per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch)
