We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join the existing team at our Sutterton branch, based in Lincolnshire. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Agricultural (but not limited to) machinery that is sold by the company’s sales department.

Working with Ernest Doe will give you direct access to the manufacturers for support and training, as well as the benefit of working with our own experienced team members.

  • Ability to repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Agricultural or Horticultural machinery and equipment
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs
  • Lifting heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools
  • Proven experience within the Agricultural or Horticultural industry
  • Able to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer-facing role

Job Type: Fixed Term

Job Location: Sutterton

Start Date: Immediate, but subject to replacement of existing role if successful

Hours: 39hrs per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hr unpaid lunch). Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs.

Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience plus company van and company mobile phone
