We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join our team at the Ringmer branch in Sussex.
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment related to agricultural machinery sold by our sales departments in the Sussex area.
Working with Ernest Doe provides access to manufacturer support and training, along with the benefit of working alongside our experienced team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Repairing and maintaining agricultural or horticultural machinery and equipment for customers
- Diagnosing hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software and performing repairs, which may be chargeable, warrantable, or internal
- Lifting heavy machinery and using appropriate tools safely
- Providing excellent customer service in a customer-facing role
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the agricultural or horticultural industry
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative
- Self-motivated and physically fit
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Ringmer, with an immediate start subject to notice period.
Working hours are 39 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm, with overtime paid at time and a half after 39 hours.
Salary is competitive and depends on experience, plus a company van is provided.
