Ernest Bevin Academy is seeking to appoint a highly organised, proactive and solution-focused Business Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the school. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and the wider West London Cluster team, contributing to the improvement of systems, processes and operational efficiency across the academy.

About the role: As a Business Support Officer, you will take a lead role in coordinating core administrative and operational functions within the school. The role is varied and impactful, spanning front office management, lettings, compliance, data protection, and business operations. You will work on behalf of senior leaders to identify issues, improve systems, and ensure that the school operates effectively and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong IT skills and confidence using administrative systems and data

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day running of the front office and supporting administrative staff
  • Supporting business operations, systems and process improvements across the school
  • Managing and monitoring health & safety compliance, records and reporting
  • Acting as the school’s Data Protection Lead, handling requests and compliance processes
  • Coordinating staff absence cover and supporting key school operations
  • Managing student data systems, producing reports and maintaining records
  • Supporting finance processes including purchase orders and invoices
  • Leading on lettings, maximising income, managing bookings and external relationships
  • Supporting school events, admissions, and wider administrative functions
