Support the smooth running of an inner-London Boys School. Ernest Bevin Academy is seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our busy and welcoming school office from September 2026. As we enter our centenary year, this is an exciting time to become part of a school with a clear ambition to be one of the leading boys’ schools in the country. Our values of Ambition, Perseverance and Unity underpin everything we do, and our support staff play a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience for students, staff and families.
About the role: As an Administrator, you will provide essential support to the day-to-day running of the school, acting as a key point of contact for parents, students and visitors. You will help ensure that office systems run efficiently and contribute to a positive and professional front-of-house experience.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Has strong IT skills and experience using systems such as SIMS/Arbor (or similar)
- Communicates confidently and professionally with a range of stakeholders
- Can manage a varied workload and work effectively under pressure
- Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy
- Is proactive, team-oriented and able to use their own initiative
- Is committed to supporting the school’s values and ethos
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing reception and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils
- Handling phone calls, emails, post and general enquiries
- Supporting with school administration, including admissions, events and student records
- Maintaining and updating key data systems
- Assisting with school events, trips and communications to parents
- Supporting finance processes, orders and deliveries
- Providing general administrative support across the school
