A dynamic project and cost consultancy based in Romford are on the lookout for a professional and motivated Project Manager to join their Project Management team and support the delivery of projects in the residential sector.

The Project Manager will be joining a forward-thinking consultancy that has 3 offices across the UK and is delivering projects in the residential sector. The Project Manager will be joining a dynamic team of 50+ consultants, including Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Building Surveyors. The Project Manager will be working alongside a Senior Project Manager throughout the whole lifecycle of these projects and will offer support/mentorship to junior members of the Project Management team.

The Project Manager will bring experience of delivering the full lifecycle of projects including new build, refurbishments and extensions from inception to completion and will be exposed to delivering schemes with contract values ranging from £20m-£80m.

You will be responsible for:

  • Running current/upcoming projects from inception to completion phase
  • Communicating effectively with internal/external parties ensuring that projects are on track
  • Collaborating with the Assistant Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to resolve any challenges faced in project lifecycles
  • Offering support towards Assistant Project Managers
  • Reviewing costs regularly with cost consultants to ensure schemes are within budget
  • Arranging and attending client meetings
  • Ensuring all works are compliant with safety and quality standards

Project Manager requirements:

  • Previous experience working for a consultancy
  • Experience delivering schemes in the residential sector
  • MRICS or MAPM Chartered is preferred
  • BSc/MSc Construction Project Management
  • Comfortable running projects from inception to completion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
