Overview
I have an exciting opportunity with a bespoke High End construction consultancy for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Southwark, London. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on various projects from £1m to £30m, from concept to completion, contributing to both pre- and post-contract duties.
The Company
The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a small but forward-thinking consultancy based in the heart of London, just a 10-minute walk from London Bridge station. They are currently a team of 15 Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers but are looking to add three more Quantity Surveyors to the team this year. The company are known for working on High End projects mainly in the Residential sector, but they also work on Commercial, Art & Culture, Retail & Hospitality Projects.
Quantity Surveyor Role
The Quantity Surveyor will initially come in and deliver High End Residential projects, from new builds to the refurbishment of listed buildings, ranging from £1M - £25M, but the average project size being £10M. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the whole lifecycle of the project, from concept to completion. You will be undertaking pre contract duties including Cost planning, estimating, feasibility studies, tender documentation and procurement advice. You will also be undertaking post contract duties including valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts. The Quantity Surveyor will be leading the High-End Residential Projects with the support from a partner when needed and will have an Assistant/Trainee below them, who they will need to support and mentor.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited degree
- Preferably MRICS
- Experience on High End Residential Projects
- Experience within a private practice / consultancy
- Strong Pre and post contract knowledge
