A successful project and cost consultancy based near Cannon Street is looking for a commercially aware Senior Project Manager with previous consultancy experience to join their project management team. The Senior Project Manager will offer support towards delivering new schemes across the commercial office, retail and residential sectors.

The Company that the Senior Project Manager will join:

The Senior Project Manager will be joining a consultancy with 10+ offices and 3000+ employees across the UK and will steer the delivery of schemes which include new builds, refurbishment and CAT A/B fit outs with contract values ranging from £5m-£85m.

The Senior Project Manager role:

The Senior Project Manager will have prior experience supporting the delivery of high-value schemes across a variety of sectors. The role requires a strong communicator who can collaborate with the team and external parties throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading projects simultaneously from inception to completion
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external parties throughout project lifecycles
  • Supporting assistants and project managers to resolve any challenges faced within schemes
  • Reporting back to project directors and stakeholders with weekly updates
  • Reviewing costs regularly to ensure schemes are within budget constraints
  • Organising meetings with clients
  • Ensuring all works are compliant with safety and quality standards

Senior Project Manager requirements:

  • Previous experience working at a construction consultancy
  • Knowledge of the commercial office, retail or residential sector
  • MRICS or MAPM Chartered preferred
  • A relevant BSc/MSc in construction industry would be ideal
  • Experience managing schemes simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a large team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
