A long-established construction consultancy is seeking an experienced MRICS Associate Director to join their growing project management team based in Central London.
The MRICS Associate Director will be joining a successful consultancy with 2+ offices across the UK, known for delivering public sector construction projects across the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors with contract values ranging from £15m-£300m.
The MRICS Associate Director will work within a close-knit team consisting of an Assistant Project Manager, 2x Project Managers, 2x Senior Project Managers, 2x Commercial Managers, 1x Senior Commercial Manager, and the Project and Cost Directors. The role involves carrying out pre and post contract duties and requires strong experience in delivering new build developments, refurbishments, extensions, and CAT A/B fit outs within various sectors of the built environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the healthcare, commercial, or education sector and experience with the NEC contract. The MRICS Associate Director will be expected to work on project sites in Brighton 3 days per week and can work from home twice a week.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading project and multidisciplinary teams through all stages of project lifecycles
- Communicating effectively with internal/external parties ensuring that projects are progressing
- Reporting progress feedback on projects to Associate Directors and Project Directors
- Reviewing costs regularly to ensure schemes are within budget constraints
- Facilitating meetings with clients
- Ensuring all works are compliant with safety and quality standards
The requirements for the role include:
- Previous experience working for a UK construction consultancy
- MRICS Chartered or working towards it
- A relevant BSc/MSc in the construction industry would be ideal
- Knowledge of delivering construction projects within the healthcare, education, or commercial sector (public sector)
- Strong NEC contract experience
- Experience delivering new build developments, refurbishments, extensions, and CAT A/B fit outs
- Ability to commute to Brighton 3x a week
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
In return, the position offers:
- £85,000-£100,000 per annum salary package
