I am working with an up-and-coming project management consultancy based in Ilford, who are searching for a confident and client-facing Project Manager to join their supportive team and run the whole lifecycle of project delivery in the Retail, Healthcare, Childcare and Veterinary sector.
The Project Manager will be joining a modern consultancy that has a strong pipeline of projects in these sectors. They will be working alongside a growing team of 10 consultants including Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Associate Directors and Project Directors.
The Project Manager will bring experience delivering the full lifecycle of schemes which are predominantly fit outs and new builds with contract values as high as £10m. They will be collaborating with the Quantity Surveyors appointed to the same projects throughout all stages of the lifecycle to ensure that costs are being controlled. The Project Manager will be delivering high-quality schemes with contract values between £150k-£10m.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the whole Project Management team to drive schemes forward to completion
- Communicating with external parties such as contractors and sub-contractors
- Providing support/mentorship to junior Project Managers
- Reporting progress feedback on Projects to the Senior Directors weekly
- Collaborating with Quantity Surveyors during all phases of project lifecycles
- Reviewing costs with Cost Consultants regularly to ensure Schemes are within Budget constraints
- Attending weekly site visits
- Arranging and attending client meetings
- Ensuring all works are compliant with safety and quality standards
Project Manager requirements:
- Previous experience working for a consultancy
- Exposure to delivering projects in Retail, Healthcare, Veterinary or Childcare sector is preferred
- MRICS or MAPM Chartered is preferred
- BSc/MSc Construction Project Management
- Capable of managing Schemes simultaneously
- Able to commute to Ilford
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
