As a Floor Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving the store’s commercial performance while ensuring flawless execution of the brand’s guest experience. You act as a key link between the Line Manager and the store team, supporting the implementation of business strategies, fostering clear communication, and contributing directly to sales results.
Leading by example on the shop floor, you are responsible for coordinating daily operations, while guiding and supporting Style Advisors and Su Misura Specialists in Clienteling and service excellence. In parallel, you partner with the Line Manager to achieve KPIs and consistently deliver an elevated brand experience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development and Sales Management
Lead by example, delivering strong sales performance while actively developing and maintaining a high-quality guest portfolio. Support the Line Manager, in translating store KPI targets into clear, actionable plans and ensuring their effective execution by the team. Guide the team in daily and weekly sales planning, proactive guest outreach, appointment setting, virtual selling, and consignments. Coach team members on selling skills, ensuring consistent delivery of the Guest Experience and strong storytelling techniques. Monitor store productivity and support on the sales floor to maximize performance throughout all business peaks. Monitor competitors' activities and market environment to propose new ideas for business development including the creation of a network of local business partners to act as Zegna Ambassadors and generate client referrals. Collaborate with local Marketing and CRM to develop and implement localized Clienteling initiatives to generate new and activate dormant guests. Leverage guests insights to delight them and foster brand loyalty. Act as a key liaison between the Line Manager and the store team, ensuring smooth and timely communication. When requested by the management structure of the store, coordinate daily store planning, task allocation, and weekly schedules where applicable in alignment with business needs and traffic trends to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency. Support the adoption of corporate strategies, policies, campaigns, and operational directives.
Customer Understanding & Engagement
Foster a customer‑centric culture, supporting the team in creating meaningful and personalized relationships. Support the store team in Clienteling activities to maintain engagement and retention. Ensure proper and consistent use of CRM tools to enrich the guest database and maximize guest insights. Support the Line Manager by monitoring monthly CRM/Marketing KPI's and reporting to capture meaningful guest data for building relationship and ensuring the guest data collection through the appropriate tools.
Team Development and Team Spirit
Support the Line Manager in the onboarding and integration of new team members. Share updates, priorities, and store performance insights with the team. Provide daily on‑floor coaching, reinforcing selling skills, product knowledge, and service excellence. Motivate team members during daily briefs, ensuring focus and goal alignment. Promote a positive and collaborative working environment and support the Line Manager by defining and assigning clear objectives; setting challenging goals and monitor individual performances. Together with Line Manager provide regular individual feedback (daily/weekly/monthly) when relevant.
Brand Presentation
Partner with Line Manager and VM referent to identify and implement product placement strategies. Ensure the implementation of VM guidelines, in collaboration with VM, to ensure interior and exterior image. Partner with Line Manager and local Merchandising team providing effective feedback on products and seasonal collections and keeping up to date on stock situation, consolidation and transfers. Maintain grooming standards and overall store appearance in line with brand requirements. Ensure the implementation of Company guidelines in terms of store experience and store maintenance.
